Explore Egypt’s Wonders in 9 Days: Affordable Cairo, Alexandria and Nile Cruise Package

Your tour guide will pick you up and take you to visit the Giza Pyramids, one of the old seven wonders of the world. You will see the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the Pyramid of Chefren, the Pyramid of Menkaure, the Valley Temple, and the Sphinx. You will have lunch at a local restaurant and then continue to Memphis, the first capital of Egypt, where you will see the colossal statue of Ramses II and the alabaster sphinx. You will end your tour at Sakkara, the first great cemetery of Egypt, where you will see the step pyramid of King Djoser, the first pyramid ever built. You will return to the hotel and overnight in Cairo.

Your tour guide will pick you up and take you to the Egyptian Museum, which has more than 225,000 masterpieces of monuments, including the golden treasure of King Tutankhamun, discovered by Carter and Carnarvon in 1922. You will then drive to the Citadel of Salah Eldin, which was built in 1173 to protect Cairo from the Crusaders. You will see the masterpiece of Turkish architecture, the Mohamed Ali Mosque. You will have lunch and then visit Old Coptic Cairo, where you will see the Hanging Church, the Abu Serga Church, also known as the Holy Crypt Church, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. You will finish your tour at the heart of the Islamic Old City, the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, where you can shop for souvenirs and handicrafts.
After finishing, you will fly to Aswan and overnight in Aswan.

You will transfer to your 5-star Nile cruise ship and check-in. You will have lunch and then visit the unfinished obelisk, a huge red granite monument that was meant for Queen Hatshepsut. You will also see the High Dam, a massive engineering project that was completed by the Russians in 1962. You will finish your tour by taking a boat trip to the Philae Temple, a beautiful island temple dedicated to the goddess Isis. You will return to the ship and enjoy dinner and a folklore dance show.

You will have breakfast and then sail to Kom Ombo, where you will visit the temple of Kom Ombo, a unique double temple that honors the gods Sobek and Horus. You will also see the crocodile mummies museum, where you can learn more about the sacred animals of ancient Egypt. You will sail to Edfu and have lunch on board. You will then visit the temple of Edfu, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt, dedicated to the god Horus. You will have afternoon tea and watch the sunset over the Nile. You will have dinner on board and join a Galabia party, where you can dress up in traditional Egyptian costumes and have fun.

You will have breakfast and sail to Luxor, the ancient capital of Egypt. You will have some free time on board and then have lunch. You will then visit the Karnak Temple, the largest religious complex in the world, and the Luxor Temple, a magnificent temple that was connected to Karnak by a long avenue of sphinxes. You will have dinner on board and enjoy a belly dance show.

You will have breakfast and disembark from the ship. You will then visit the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs were buried in rock-cut tombs. You will also see the temple of Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh who ruled Egypt, and the colossi of Memnon, two giant statues that once guarded the entrance to a temple. You will then fly back to Cairo and overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, you will drive to Alexandria, the second-largest city in Egypt and the pearl of the Mediterranean. It will take you about 3 hours to reach your first sightseeing, the Catacombs Tomb, which was built between the 2nd and 4th centuries by the Romans. It is one of the largest underground cemeteries in the world. You will then visit Pompey’s Pillar, a Roman triumphal column and one of the largest of its kind outside Rome and Constantinople. You will then drive to the shore of Alexandria to see the spot of one of the old seven wonders, the old lighthouse, which was completely destroyed and replaced by the Qaitbay Castle, which was built in the 15th century. You will enjoy walking around the castle and the harbor, where you can see the fishing boats and the Mediterranean Sea. You will then drive back to Cairo and overnight at the hotel.
