Your tour guide will pick you up and take you to visit the Giza Pyramids, one of the old seven wonders of the world. You will see the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the Pyramid of Chefren, the Pyramid of Menkaure, the Valley Temple, and the Sphinx. You will have lunch at a local restaurant and then continue to Memphis, the first capital of Egypt, where you will see the colossal statue of Ramses II and the alabaster sphinx. You will then drive to the Citadel of Salah Eldin, which was built in 1173 to protect Cairo from the Crusaders. You will see the masterpiece of Turkish architecture, the Mohamed Ali Mosque. After breakfast, you will drive to Alexandria, the second-largest city in Egypt and the pearl of the Mediterranean. It will take you about 3 hours to reach your first sightseeing, the Catacombs Tomb, which was built between the 2nd and 4th centuries by the Romans. It is one of the largest underground cemeteries in the world. You will then visit Pompey’s Pillar, a Roman triumphal column and one of the largest of its kind outside Rome and Constantinople. You will then drive to the shore of Alexandria to see the spot of one of the old seven wonders, the old lighthouse, which was completely destroyed and replaced by the Qaitbay Castle, which was built in the 15th century. You will enjoy walking around the castle and the harbor, where you can see the fishing boats and the Mediterranean Sea. You will then drive back to Cairo and overnight at the hotel.
