13 Days in Cairo, Sharm El Sheikh with Nile Cruise

The next day begins early with breakfast at the hotel, followed by check-out to meet our English-speaking Egyptologist tour guide for your first day of excursion. The first destination is the Pyramids of Giza, which include the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure; and overshadowed by the graceful limestone statue of the Sphinx, sentinel over the site. This is just one of the top sites in Cairo that you will explore during your journey.

Then you will enjoy lunch at the local restaurant. After that, you carry on to the city of Sakkara, where you will visit the Step Pyramid of King Djoser. His chief architect, Imhotep, was tasked by King Djoser with constructing a burial place unlike any other. The result was the Step Pyramid, which amazed the king and was thought of as nothing less than a marvel during its time.

In the evening, transfer to Giza railway station for the sleeper train to Aswan, where you will enjoy dinner. Stay overnight in your compartment.

After breakfast on the train, a very warm representative of Osha Tours will meet you at the Aswan train station. After that, you'll join a private air-conditioned vehicle to transfer you to your Nile Cruise ship for embarkation in Aswan before lunch. This marks the beginning of your journey to explore some of the best places in Aswan, where history and beauty blend seamlessly.

Next, join your Egyptologist tour guide for an incredible session of visiting areas in Aswan, including the High Dam, constructed by Egypt's first and only president, Gamal Abdel Nasser, in 1960 AD. It was done to rescue Egypt from Nile flooding.

Then you will enjoy sailing on the Nile River with a motorboat until reaching Agilika Island. Here you will have a visit to the Temple of Philae built in the Greco-Roman period and dedicated to Isis - mother of Horus.

Breakfast will be served aboard your ship. After that, you will accompany an Egyptologist tour guide to visit the magnificent Temple of Kom Ombo, where the gods Sobek and Haroeris were once honored. After this visit, you will return to your floating hotel for lunch on the sun deck, taking in the stunning views of the Nile River.

In the afternoon, you will join a chariot ride to the Temple of Horus in Edfu - quite famous for being one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your cruise ship. The rest of the afternoon will be at your disposal to enjoy your free time on board. The breakfast will be offered during the Nile cruise, and on the journey to Thebes, the revered land, you will follow through the dense banks of Luxor, starting with the Valley of the Kings. This site is recognized as the royal burial ground for the Theban kings and rulers of ancient Egypt, where they interred our Pharaohs.

You will visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut located at Deir El-Bahari subsequently. This temple is known as one of the most exceptional ancient walls-beholders of Egyptian architecture since it has been hewn out from the mountainside. Then the tour will lead you to the Colossi of Memnon, associated with King Amenhotep III. Here is the endpoint of that visit, after which you will proceed for lunch on your cruise.

You will then continue your investigation of the East Bank of Luxor, including its magnificent Karnak Temple Complex, identified as the biggest temple complex in the world, spanning over an area of one hundred acres.

This amazing journey will close at the same moment as the Luxor Temple, built by one of the kings of the 12th dynasty and completed by the great King Ramses II. This is one of the must-see Luxor attractions, proving the grandeur of ancient Egyptian architecture. You will be asked after breakfast to disembark from your Nile cruise. Proceed to the Luxor Airport for your scheduled flight that will take you to Sharm. On arrival at Sharm Airport, make a transfer to your hotel in Sharm for one night. While there, you can indulge in some of the exciting things to do in Sharm El Sheikh - from beautiful beaches, thrilling nightlife, and even wonderful water sports spare the dishes.

Spend a day on your own enjoying a free day in Sharm or join our optional tour to Ras Mohammed National Park, a unique reserve of land and sea. Encompassing an area of 480 sq. km, this protected area abuts the Gulf of Suez from one side and the Gulf of Aqaba from the other, lying further south in Sinai. The landscape is characterized by an arid desert with dunes, plains of gravel, fossilized corals, and granite mountains, which host several of the very rare mammal species, including the Dorcas gazelle, Nubian ibex, and red fox. More commonly observed are the resident bird species such as terns, herons, gulls, and ospreys. Each year, thousands of white storks migrate through Ras Mohammed, traveling south in September and October, and returning north in April and May. The park also includes some 85 species of flora, including mangroves. The overnight stay will be in Sharm.

You can choose to spend an entirely free day in Sharm, or you can join us for our optional tour of the beautiful Colored Canyon, the natural wonder of Sinai. Walk along the walls of the canyon, mostly made of sandstone, which rises high and is filled with amazing colors of yellow, purple, red, magenta, and gold through the walls. In some places, its heights stretch to about 40 meters, giving an experience almost equal to being locked inside one fantastic coloring book. Overnight accommodations will be in Sharm.

Have a free day in Sharm or take part in the optional tour to the Monastery of St. Catherine situated in the heart of Sinai at the foot of Gebel Musa (or Mount Moses). Surrounded by gardens and cypress trees, this monastery is managed by the Greek Orthodox Church. It boasts a rich library that contains the second-largest collection of illuminated manuscripts in the world, after the Vatican. Visitors can view the Burning Bush, along with antique artworks that include invaluable icons, intricately carved doors, exquisite wall paintings, and other fine religious artifacts. Overnight will be spent in Sharm.

This day is going to be extra special because you'll be seeing some of the most notable monuments. The first stop today is The Egyptian Museum, which is probably one of the most critical museum hotspots in Egypt and houses artifacts from the Pharaonic times, including those of the famous King Tutankhamun. Lunch will be at a local restaurant.

After lunch, you will go to the Old Cairo area, where the Citadel of Salah El-Din can be visited. This was a very important location in Egyptian history, occupying the center of power for more than 700 years.

At last, you will visit Khan El-Khalili, the oldest market, and most interesting in Egypt, renowned as one of the oldest and finest bazaars in the Middle East. At the end of your day tour, you will return to your hotel in Cairo.

Your day will open today with breakfast at your hotel in Cairo. Following this, you will meet our brilliant Egyptologist tour guide who will take you on an exceptional ride to Alexandria. The first thing to do on this tour is visit the "Library of Alexandria"- arguably the most important library of the ancient world: built on the very site of the pharaohs' historic homes. After that, it's off to a local restaurant for lunch.

After lunch, the tour will proceed to the Roman Amphitheatre, which is the most important monument from the Greco-Roman period. Next, you will see Pompey’s Pillar, which was established in 292 AD.

Ending your day, view the famous Sultan Qaitbay Citadel, one of Alexandria's landmarks. Afterward, you will head back to Cairo to reach your hotel for an overnight.
