Tour Details

Sitting in the southern part of Egypt is Aswan, known for its tranquility and rich history. As part of our Egypt day tours, tourists can explore a variety of attractions, including the impressive Aswan High Dam and the bustling Aswan Souk, which reveals the ancient quarrying activities of the Egyptians. Don’t miss the stunning Philae Temple, the magnificent temples of Abu Simbel, the charming Nubian Village, and Elephantine Island. You can also enjoy a peaceful Felucca sailing boat ride along the Nile, taking in the serene beauty of this remarkable region.

It can be observed that Egypt is a nation that has many places to satisfy the historical and cultural appetite of tourists, including a few days of Nile cruise. For example, in the southern part of Egypt, the Philae temple of the goddess Isis, as well as the impressive High Dam are both modern engineering masterpieces. Further on the route, the astonishing temples of Abu Simbel appear, featuring the temples of Ramses II and his second wife Nefertari. These temples chiseled out in rocks show the beauty and engineering techniques of the ancient Egypt civilization.

Abu Simbel is a well-visited place for tourists and is known for its huge rock-cut temples that were sculpted into a hillside during the reign of Pharaoh Ramesses II in the 13th century. The larger temple is dedicated to the gods Amun, Ra-Horakhty, and Ptah, and the smaller temple is dedicated to Ramesses II’s favorite wife Nefertari. Look through our tours in Egypt, get the chance to visit Abu Simbel and Aswan from Luxor, and also see the Philae Temple, Unfinished Obelisk, and High Dam in Aswan.

On the second day, we go back to history, more of the Abu Simbel. The hotel in Aswan will provide us with a breakfast box before we undertake one of the most fascinating Egypt day tours to Abu Simbel. Later an English-speaking driver and a guide will take us to visit the two Temples of Ramses II at Abu Simbel, which have been one of the remarkable landmarks in the history of Egypt. The construction speaks of the magnificence of the temples found in the New Kingdom period, and they would have been underwater ages ago if not for an international rescue mission led by the government of Egypt and UNESCO.

Nubia was crucial for the Egyptians as a trade infrastructure looking south, where gold and other valued goods existed. Hence, the king raised many buildings depicting his authority over the land to the south and the civilization of Nubia. Like most temples in Egypt, the Temple of Ramses II contained an image of a king, for the temple was built as a tribute to the four collective gods; a figure which included Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Re, and the King himself.

The magnificent temple of Abu Simbel also referred to as the Sun Temple of Ramses II, and also the Temple of Hathor, the beloved wife of King Ramses II, give iconographic representation to Ramses II, his wife, goddess Hathor, and the Sun God Amun.

The last destination is Aswan, and the Abu Simbel trip is done before we have another journey to Luxor to reach our final hotel. This is the conclusion of one of the amazing variants of the Luxor day tours and things to do in Egypt.
