2 Day Trip in Cairo from Dahab

A representative of Osha Tours will meet and pick you up from your Dahab hotel and take you to Sharm Airport for your flight to Cairo. You will be received by someone who will guide you through an exciting day of Cairo sightseeing, starting with a visit to Sakkara, one of the main necropolis areas related to the ancient capital of Egypt, Memphis. Here, you’ll see the famous Step Pyramid of Djoser, also called the Step Tomb because of its rectangular foundations, along with several mastabas, the Teti Pyramid, and various tombs. Next, visit Memphis to see the renowned statue of Ramses II and the almost-buried Hathor Temple. Then, you will continue your discoveries to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World-the magnificent Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus, as well as the Sphinx with the head of a pharaoh and the body of a lion dating back to the reign of King Chephren. The Valley Temple of the Pyramid of Chephren will also be on your visiting itinerary. After having lunch at one of the recommended restaurants, you will be taken to your hotel where you will check in before spending some time relaxing, only to spend the night in Cairo

The day begins with breakfast followed by a visit to the Egyptian Museum, well-known for its astounding collections of antiquities from Pharaonic Egypt, that add up to nearly 5,000 years, including the breathtaking treasures of King Tutankhamun. Your guide will tour you around this marvelous place. Then, continue your journey through the Cairo attractions, starting with the Citadel of Saladin, one of the most outstanding monuments in Cairo, followed by the Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque, constructed in the authentic Ottoman style, and influenced by the Yeni Mosque in Istanbul. Next, visit Coptic Cairo and discover its rich Christian heritage, which includes visiting the oldest and most famous Coptic Orthodox Church in Egypt, the Hanging church. The drive travels into Islamic Cairo and will take you through Khan El Khalili's historic bazaar of Cairo. Finally, you will be transferred to the Cairo International Airport and your flight will take you to Sharm El Sheikh and then to your Dahab hotel for your overnight stay.
